Ultimatly what I suggest is have a look at the posted Quests and weigh the Reward to the amount of time and effort each one takes and try to complete it. Then complete it on all your other characters
Yeah, that works - it's just disappointing sometimes when you realise, eh, I only have two characters that've done this. I finished Blacktide Den on my dervish Survivor in NM though <3 Not much in the way of zoins, but it was a nice addition (especially since the zquest gives you xp upon completion as well!)

Some Missions and Bounties are MUCH easier and take only a few minutes - it looks like that either the mission or the bounty is easy each day.

That frees you up to do them on multiple chars (10 chars here). I did Raisu HM in 15 min per char. The Corsair bounty I ran my GF for all her 10 chars on my Sin (5 min ea), then she ran me (5 min ea). THK HM is easy, camping takes the longest time. Rocked Rocktail 10 times, easy. Ring of Fire was too long, so I only did 2 chars. Other than that, ignore rediculous bounties (Ragnar, Coldstone, Stygans).

Set up your heros with good gear, get Pain Inverter, and rock out.

I am half way to my first heavy pack and it has only been a few days. Course, I have a final to do over the weekend. poo.

But yes, 7500 is a little steap.

Yeah. I think people are overestimating how long it will take to get these. People were complaining about how it would take months to get the max bags, but several people are close and it hasn't even been a week.

well, it really depends on how many characters you have that can do each of the dailies.

if you have 1-2 characters only then its gonna take long obviously.

the more characters you have that are able to repeat each type the faster you'll get to your gold zcoins.

It al depends on the quests. If you do PVP quests, there's going to be a hefty reward. My boyfriend was telling me that he did one HA quest and got a stack of coppers. Then of course he rerolled and did it all over again. So the time could be easily shortened, but the amount of coins is ridiculous, I agree.

The advantage is that more chars give you more chances to grind exclusively more of the quests that give the most bang for the buck.

This is also why the repeatable (delete pvp char - do it again) pvp quests are so popular.

They take not so much time, and yield high rewards.

In the end, people are still grinding for a bag. Regardless how many chars they have, they will have to do a lot of these quests.

I've stopped entirely. Inevitably, they will lower the price, so I'll wait till then with my Small Equip Bag.

Besides, it's not like I couldn't survive before with no e-bag, so it's not like it's harder now. :P

Only applies to HA and GB really. Things like Fort Aspenwood and RA and JQ take hours of waiting to get in and are only for the same amount as a PVE mission...

Yeah, this is way too much grind and I'm not having it. Some people are saying it is easy, but in the same paragraph going on to say they did Thunderhead Keep 12 times. Sorry, that isn't my idea of a good time. I'm getting sick of Grind Wars.

As PvP-player, it doesn't realy require you to do anything considered "grind".

Winning 6 games in HA is more or less one run, and if you get to HoH that's an easy 350 coins in an hour or so.

Same goes for all the other combat quests: PvP players do that anyway, now we just get extra rewards.

From such a perspective, it's not realy grind.

Though luck for people that only do PvE, coin-rewards there are lower. But then again what did you expect from a Zaishen reward.

I think HA and GvG should have higher rewards.

First of all, they require a team of 8 people (well, 6 at least, but that would reduce the chances of winning) while pretty much all of PvE can be done by 2 people with 6 heroes rolling face on keyboard.

Second is the difficulty. It may be "more or less 1 run" for people who regularly HA but I would estimate that for 90% of the playerbase it would be six UW wins with at least as many losses mixed in, much raging and rebuilding the pug. The "get to halls" bonus would be pretty much unattainable except from a lucky skip.

More or less the same goes for the GvG daily. People who don't play GvG would have a very hard time winning six games, even at low rating.

But those few difficult places in PvE should also have similarly high rewards. Namely Kanaxai/Urgoz/Mallyx (if there will ever be a quest for him): stuff that can't simply be done with 2 people + heroes. Say 100 nomal / 300 HM for Kanaxai and 250/500 for Mallyx.

Large Equipment Pack: 15 spaces at 3.3 silver each.
Heavy Equipment Pack: 20 spaces at 7.5 silver each.

I would've thought that 5 gold z-coins would've been more than plenty for a heavy pack.
It would be, but remember these are the same folks that put those original caps on the Faction titles. When you consider how that system was first implemented, the "We discourage farming" attitude that ANet has always employed tends to constantly conflict with their farming-necessity functions that they introduce.

$15 to change character name

$10 for makeover

.......Who said things were looking good at ANet?

Don't do the quests, let other people do them that intend to sell them, and then buy them with regular gold. You could probably farm enough gold for two heavy packs in the time it takes you to do z-quests and earn the same amount of coins.

The problem I have with Anets math is this.

Heavy pack (20slots) = 15 coins
Large pack (15slots ) = 5 coins = 45slots for cost of 1 Heavy pack
Light pack (10slots ) = 1 coin = 150 slots for cost of 1 Heavy pack

I can equip all of my chars with just the light pack long before I could afford just 1 Heavy pack. The cost shoud have been;
Light - 1 Gold Coins
Large - 2 Gold Coins
Heavy - 3 Gold Coins

If I want the Heavy pack I have to do nothing but the Zaishen quests each and every day. That means I can't do anything else in GW. For me this is a step back to how the old Favor of the Gods used to work. Anet forcing players to do something they don't necessarily wish to do just so they can do what they want to do.

Still on the whole they are a good addition.

To be honest the Zaishen coin rewards are thoroughly unimpressive for every mission offered.

Still, it beats not having them.
